About Me

Hi, I'm Abel Flores Jr. I created Other Light Studio with one belief at the center: everyone deserves to be seen and heard. As a photographer and educator, I’ve spent years watching how a single image—an honest, unpolished, genuine moment—can change the way someone sees themselves. Photography isn’t just about taking pictures for me; it’s about holding space for people, giving them a moment where they feel valued, noticed, and understood.

Other Light Studio was born from that mission. I wanted a place where the process feels human, where connection matters as much as the final photo, and where analog tools like Polaroids help slow things down just enough to let people show up as their truest selves. My work blends creativity with intention, using light, film, and conversation to reveal something real in every person I photograph.

Whether it’s a double exposure, a tiny Polaroid Go print, or a full analog portrait session, my goal is always the same: help people see the beauty in themselves that they might not always notice—and remind them that their story matters.
